Branding Engine

Your product might already be better.

Nobody knows it yet.

A brand isn’t a logo or a color palette. It’s the reason someone picks you over a near-identical competitor before they’ve even tried either one.

Positioning First

Most rebrands start with a moodboard. We start with a question: when someone’s choosing between you and the next option, why should they pick you? If we can’t answer that in one sentence, nothing downstream — colors, logo, voice — has anything to stand on.

Generic Positioning

“Quality you can trust.”

“Customer-first approach.”

“Full-service solutions.”

Said by half your competitors too.

Owned Positioning

“The only [category] built for [specific audience] who need [specific outcome].”

Nobody else can say this but you.

What it is: A specific, ownable reason customers choose you — not a generic claim like “quality” or “customer-first” that every competitor already makes.

How we approach it: We start from your Growth Audit findings, then pressure-test the positioning against what your actual competitors are claiming, until it holds up as something only you can say.

What You Get

Visual Identity

What it is: The visual system that carries your positioning consistently across everywhere your business shows up — your homepage, your socials, your deck, all of it.

How we approach it: Built after the positioning work is locked, so how you look actually matches what you’re claiming to be.

What you get

Brand Messaging & Voice

What it is: How you actually sound — in a tagline, a sales email, an ad, a LinkedIn post — consistent regardless of who’s writing it that day.

How we approach it: We define exactly what you say and how you say it — specific enough to actually write from, well past a mood word list like “bold, friendly, authentic.”

What you get

Brand Collateral

What it is: Branded templates and design systems for collateral you’ll need repeatedly — pitch decks, brochures, one-pagers, packaging — built once, on-brand, and reusable.

How we approach it: We design the system and templates using your identity and voice, so your team can drop in new content without it drifting off-brand. Ongoing campaign content is handled separately, under the Marketing Engine.

Questions We Get Asked

Depends on what the Growth Audit finds. Sometimes the positioning is solid and only the visual identity needs work — we don’t push a full rebrand when a refresh will do.

Yes. A lot of our branding work is fixing inconsistency in what already exists rather than starting from zero.

Positioning and strategy usually take 2–3 weeks; visual identity and a full design system add another 3–5, depending on scope.

Both, if it’s part of the brief — brand collateral covers physical and digital as needed.

Positioning always comes first, whether or not you’re buying visual identity work — we won’t design a logo before we know what it’s supposed to say.
